| Abstract Standard linear revenue is expected to be down 18% this year. This decrease in sales is driven by poor economic conditions, inventory problems, and discouraging demand in the communications and computer markets. Better results are expected in 2002 as the third and fourth quarters of 2001 have already shown some signs of increased order activity. Databeans is currently projecting a 19% increase in standard linear revenue for 2002. Databeans' forecast is consistent with a normal recovery pattern, and is based upon historical month-to-month seasonal growth rates. While the wire line communications market is still struggling with inventory issues, other application markets are expected to recover slightly in 2002. PC shipments are expected to be down 4% in 2001, they should increase by 4% in 2002 -thanks to commercial replacement cycles and increased government spending on IT.
