2003 Analog IC Market Share Market Research Report
Abstract
In 2003, Texas Instruments took over the top position in analog with significant gains across standard linear product lines, most notably in power ICs and interface.

STMicroelectronics was the analog IC leader in 2002, but its 2003 revenue gains were not enough for the company to sustain its number one ranking. The company saw gains in its comparators business, for example, but this was more than offset by losses in amplifiers, power ICs, and in computer ASSPs in particular.

Infineon and Analog Devices maintained 2002 third and fourth place analog rankings respectively, while National Semiconductor was able to pull ahead of rival Philips Semiconductors into the fifth position by way of its gains in amplifiers and power ICs. Maxim fell two positions from seventh to ninth, allowing Freescale Semiconductor and Toshiba to move upward, and Intersil maintained its tenth position ranking. There were no new entrants to the Top Ten analog ranking for 2003.
