| Abstract |
| After a bit of a rough start, demand
for application specific analog in certain end markets
appears to be stabilizing - if not picking up slightly. |
| On the brighter side are notebook computers
and cell phones. Though fuel and utilities pricing has
risen and put strain on budgets, Databeans cautiously reiterates
that the third and fourth quarters of this year should
see a pick up in sales. This increase will be driven primarily
by consumers. |
| Databeans forecast for application
specific analog revenue for 2005 is $20.6 billion, up 6
percent from 2004. Over the next five years, using an estimated
11 percent compound annual growth rate, this market should
reach $34.2 billion and make up 9 percent of the total
semiconductor market. |

is leading this market followed by Texas Instruments and
