| Abstract |
Industrial electronics manufacturers
are under constant pressure to increase margins, while
staying competitive with higher levels of integration,
and lowering costs to customers; industrial analog suppliers
are also subject to these market forces. |
| Industrial analog ICs are special purpose
devices used in process control equipment, medical electronics,
test and measurement equipment, aerospace electronics,
and military applications. They tend to be priced
higher than the overall commercial market, and the growth
rates for shipments and revenue are stable, but not as
high as their commodity counterparts. Industrial
analog products are used to control motors, connect networks,
produce high-resolution images, and condition signals from
multiple sensor inputs used in a very diverse application
catalog. |
| The industrial analog market is expected
to reach $2.6 billion by 2011, up from an estimated $1.8
billion today. This amounts to a compound annual
growth rate of 8 percent over the next five years. This
new study provides readers with forecasts by region, by
consumption market and application forecasts are also presented.
Industrial test equipment OEM market share is included. |
| This study is available through individual
