About Databeans Staff on Demand Program

Bill of Materials Analysis
Databeans will conduct a tear down and complete the inventory listing with part descriptions, supplier, and pricing for most applications. Once completed, we will project the demand for each part found in the application using our estimates for worldwide production of that application.
Application Demand Analysis

Databeans Methodology
Semiconductor products described in our reports are classified based upon World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) product category definitions. Submarkets, broken out beyond WSTS are defined by Databeans. Historical product revenue and shipments for semiconductor products are sourced from WSTS. Forecasts are constructed based on monthly projected growth rates moving forward five years.
Product forecasts generated from historical regression analysis are validated using supplier input on average selling prices, and end market application demand. Databeans uses econometric modeling, in which several independent variables are defined to simulate current market conditions and forward-looking trends. Both results are compared and averaged resulting in the final forecast.
End market application demand is determined by inputs from OEM design engineers collected annually. Semiconductor demand by application is determined through OEM design engineer survey data and Databeans tear down analysis.
Market share data was assigned based upon supplier inputs to an annual semiconductor revenue survey and breadth of supplier product offerings. |
