About Databeans Analyst Inquiry Bank Program
Organizations that subscribe to a Databeans Subscription Service have access to Databeans Analyst Inquiry Bank Program. This program is a service putting you in touch with analysts for in-depth information on all areas of the semiconductor market. Coverage includes but is not limited to; bill of materials analysis, application demand analysis, OEM market share, SEC file and earnings call analysis, component forecasts, and by country demand.
Databeans subscription services are combinations of reports and/or database tools. There is a minimum of 3 report products that are required to be purchased to create a subscription service. Subscription services include our Analyst Inquiry Bank (formerly known as Staff on Demand). The Analyst Inquiry Bank is a vehicle for customers to use to get more research material in addition to the products included in their service. Each of our analysts is available to provide more detailed cuts of the market data we provide. Inquiries are responded to quickly, usually turning projects around in a few days, depending on the complexity of the request. The Analyst Inquiry Bank hours varies depending on the number of products bundled into the service. Three analyst hours per report is assigned for the Analyst Inquiry Bank support.

Bill of Materials Analysis
Databeans will conduct a tear down and complete the inventory listing with part descriptions, supplier, and pricing for most applications. Once completed, we will project the demand for each part found in the application using our estimates for worldwide production of that application.
Application Demand Analysis
Databeans tracks over 150 applications and we are always adding new ones to our database. Let us know if you need to look at a specific application area and we will provide worldwide shipments and revenue and also a regional split.
OEM Market Share
Many times we provide customers with statistics on the OEM market by presenting market share for many end markets. Market share is presented in revenue and shipments.
SEC Filings and Earnings Call Analysis

Databeans Methodology
Databeans provides market statistics on semiconductor products classified based upon World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) product category definitions. Submarkets, broken out beyond WSTS, are defined by Databeans in cooperation with suppliers. Historical product revenue and shipments for semiconductor products are sourced from WSTS and from supplier surveys. Forecasts are constructed based on monthly projected growth rates moving forward five years.
Databeans also provides semiconductor market statistics by end equipment area. End market application demand is determined by inputs from OEMs and we track over 250 applications. The estimated consumption of semiconductors is collected from OEM/CEM design engineers, Databeans teardown analysis, and/or a collection of reference designs from suppliers. Each device is evaluated for the total used in the design and a forecast is generated using the application shipment estimates and the total value of the semiconductor product in the design.
Historical product market share data is assigned based upon supplier inputs to an annual survey and estimates made by our analysts using publicly available information. |
Are there special restrictions on access to research reports for my company? No. All Databeans reports have unlimited seats within your company and can be shared at your discretion within your organization.
What do I do if I want to use data from the reports in material to be presented outside of the company? Please let us know what material you are publishing and list us as a source.

What happens if my company uses up all of our Analyst Inquiry Bank included with the service? Databeans provides an Analyst Inquiry Bank for additional support. Purchase blocks of extra Analyst Inquiry hours to cover any additional time your group or company may need to complete your projects. Each block is five hours of additional support, and is available to carry over to additional reports, groups, and services, however your company chooses to use it. Buy one or more blocks. The additional staffing and support will be beneficial to your group.
What if my company doesn’t use all of our additional Analyst Inquiry Bank support blocks? The purchased Analyst Inquiry Bank support is available to carry over to the next calendar year as a credit for any additional support needed in your subscription renewal. Although the Analyst Inquiry Bank hours are non-refundable, as long as you are a current customer of Databeans your company will never lose your purchased blocks. This is not a use it or lose it scenario, this is a bank of time available to use as you need it, when you need it. The complementary three hours per report product of Analyst Inquiry Bank that is included with your service expires at the end of your contract term.
